Our Work

Historically, churches have played a central role in the African American community, serving as catalysts for change. In the Southeastern San Diego Cardiac Disparities Project, faith based organizations develop their own unique plans to eliminate heart disease, a devastating problem in our community.

Physicians and other healthcare providers also participate in this project, creating their own plans to eliminate heart attacks and strokes, which are highly preventable.

And then they partner. Working together, these faith and medical leaders are saving lives, one heart at a time.
